Order processing and acknowledgements

As a general rule we process all orders within 2 working days of receipt, and within 5 working days we despatch all the items to you. If you ordered books but have not received your package within 4 weeks of the order date, please contact the Danish Polar Center, attn.: Kirsten Caning.
You will receive an automatic acknowledgement by email shortly after you submitted your order. The acknowledgement will state the number of books you have ordered and the amount to be drawn on you credit card, including postage and handling.


Order cancellations

Orders for items not yet despatched may be cancelled at any time, without penalty.

Postage and handling

A handling fee of 30 DKK is added automatically to your bill. Furthermore you will be required to choose one of the postage groups: Denmark, Europe, or Overseas incl. Greenland , if you are purchasing books, - or one of the other groups if you are purchasing other items.

VAT

All prices are in Danish kroner (DKK) and include the Danish sales tax or VAT at the standard rate of 25%.

Payment

Any purchase in polarshop.dk must be drawn on a credit card, either Dankort, Visa, EuroCard or MasterCard.

Standing orders

We accept standing orders for forthcoming titles in any of the three subseries of MoG or the series of Danish Polar Center Publications .

There are two Standing Order options:
You can either place a standing order for all future titles in a series,
or we can send you a series update each time a new title is announced.

Regarding these options you should send a message to polarshop@dpc.dk.

If you have any special delivery or payment requirements for standing orders, please state this clearly. Please note that standing orders can be cancelled at any time.

Return of goods

You must obtain a "return authorisation" before returning any item ordered from polarshop.dk. Failure to do so may result in the item(s) being returned to you at your expense.
Returns will be authorised for the following reasons:
The goods are damaged in transit or
You received defective goods (e.g. pages missing, plates upside down).

To obtain a return authorisation, please phone, fax or email polarshop@dpc.dk giving the following details: customer name and address; item title(s); reason for returns request and nature of damage or defect; and date of receipt of goods.

You must request a return authorisation within 30 days of receipt of goods.

Claims for postage refunds must be accompanied by appropriate postal documentation. Please also indicate if you wish to receive a credit note or a refund.

Data protection

All customers have the right to know what personal information is held about them on our computer files. We do not make the names and addresses of our customers available to commercial organisations for marketing purposes.

Internet security

We do not accept liability for the theft of personal data on the Internet (such as your credit card number).
