Kangerlussuaq is the main hub for international and domestic air traffic served by Air Greenland.

Nuuk, the capital city, has no direct international flights but is serviced via Kangerlussuaq and Narsarsuaq. The towns Sisimiut and Maniitsoq are connected by fixed-wing aircraft with e.g. Kangerlussuaq and Nuuk.

Ilulissat airport is the hub for air traffic in the Disko Bugt (bay) region as well as to and from Aasiaat, Uummannaq and Upernavik.

In the summer 2003 from June 30 the "Great Canadian Travel Company" operates two charter flights weekly between Iqaluit and Aasiaat with connection to and from Ottawa and Montreal.
